IMPULSE ETHERNET OVER COPPER
Impulse’s Ethernet over Copper service is high-bandwidth connectivity that provides organizations with a reliable and secure dedicated Internet connection.
What is Ethernet over Copper (EoC)?
Synchronous Upload and Download Speeds –On shared networks such as cable and LTE, download speeds are usually significantly faster than upload speeds. For residential users this is typically fine, businesses, however, rely heavily on video conferencing, cloud-based storage, and communication platforms that need to send as much data as they download.
Voice Ready – Impulse has complete control to provide Quality of Service (QoS) for sensitive voice applications like our ClearStar cloud-based PBX.
Guaranteed Speed –Cable, FiOS or LTE networks get congested and slow down during busy times, with a fiber connection this does not happen. Fiber connectivity provides companies with a specific, symmetrical, amount of bandwidth that is reserved for their business.
Built-in Redundancy – Ethernet over Copper (EoC) is provided by multiple copper lines, in some cases bonding up to 24 multiple pairs. If one has an issue your connection stays up, just at a slower speed while Impulse works on getting it fixed.
