Jay spends his downtime running through forests holding an antenna as an international ARDF competitor. He has been with the Company since inception and is responsible for the architecture of the company’s voice and data network infrastructure. Prior to joining Impulse, Jay was Director of Network Engineering for NetLojix since 1997 when his company, WestNet Communications was acquired. Jay and several partners founded WestNet in 1995 to provide Internet services on the Central Coast of California. Prior to founding WestNet, he was an engineer with the City of Santa Barbara Electronic Maintenance group where he implemented the City's original mobile data network for the Police Department as well as maintaining and upgrading the E-911 center, telemetry and communications systems and data network. He is a Cisco Certified Internet Expert (CCIE) with a broad knowledge of TCP/IP networks, traditional telephony and wireless technologies. He holds FCC Radiotelephone First Class and Amateur Extra licenses.
Lee drives strategic growth for the Western US by directing our resources to select enterprises headquartered in the region that align closely with our mission, purpose and values and our objective of creating lifetime business relationships that support growth for our customers and our people. Lee joined the company in 2009 and held prior roles of Account Executive and Community Relations Director.
Lee started his career in the communications industry and has held business development roles with Cox Business Services and Sprint Nextel. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from University of the Pacific. Lee sits on the advisory committee of the Business Giving Roundtable.
