PulseWireless Now Available in Downtown Santa Barbara

Impulse is excited to launch our new PulseWireless Internet which offers symmetrical internet speeds to Businesses in the Downtown Santa Barbara area.

There is finally a new, reliable wireless internet solution designed specifically for businesses in the Downtown Santa Barbara area! Impulse has installed next-gen wireless towers on two vantage points which provide the majority of businesses with coverage. We are offering multiple packages with dedicated speeds up to 100Mbps x 100Mbps.

What makes PulseWireless Special?

  • Faster upload speeds than cable internet
  • Lower latency than cable or other wireless solutions
  • Dedicated speeds that do not fluctuate

PulseWireless is delivered using line-of-site wireless technology to provide a dedicated connection between a small dish on top of your business and one of our new wireless towers fed via our Impulse fiber backbone. Unlike cellular or satellite-based wireless connections, this type of wireless connectivity is specifically designed for businesses that want to do video calling or large uploads. While cellular modems can sometimes achieve fast download speeds, the upload speed is generally one-tenth of the download speed. With PulseWireless, your download and upload speeds are the same. You will also see rock-solid speeds that do not fluctuate as cellular modems do as well as sub-10ms latency.

PulseWireless Requirements

  • Line-of-sight towards the Mesa or the Riviera
  • Ability to mount a small dish on your roof
  • Ability to run a cable from the roof to your networking equipment

Below is a coverage map, however, a site survey will be required to ensure line of sight to one of our towers.
