We are working with the upstream carrier to address their network problem. Our primary inbound phone number provider has been experiencing intermittent attacks on their network throughout the weekend starting on Saturday, and although they continued to get hit through Sunday and into today most calls appear to be completing, indicating that they are having some success at mitigating it. We are seeing intermittent issues today with calls completing through auto-attendants when the caller presses a number to be re-directed that is related to this. Our provider continues to work on the issue.

This morning between approximately 6:30AM PST and 9:15AM PST we experienced intermittent issues with call completion and phone registration on our ClearStar voice platform. One of the software elements of the platform was experiencing an exceptionally high amount of authentication attempts from unauthorized devices which impacted the overall platform's ability to handle calls. The attempts to authenticate were not successful, and we were able to block the traffic once we identified it, so we believe we have corrected the immediate problem and the call platform was re-stabilized as of approximately 9:15AM. We will be working with the software provider to mitigate the impact of a similar attack in the future.

We are experiencing a wide area network outage that is affecting T1 services outside the Santa Barabara area in southern California. Earlier this morning there was a fiber cut in Burbank that the carrier has resolved since. Currently there is a fiber cut in San Luis Obispo and the carrier has routed the trouble to the Local Exchange Carrier (LEC). The LEC is currently working on restoring service. There is no ETR at this time.

Please be advised: One of our larger aggregate circuits with Nitel is having an outage in the Chicago area. This will affect multiple customers in the south, midwest and to the east coast if you are connecting through to our Chicago POP. This includes but is not limited to (internet and ClearStar services). Impulse engineers are aware of the problem and have engaged the carrier for a resolution. More updates to come in the morning.

There have been wide area outages primarily affecting the Lompoc and Santa Ynez valley areas. Service including, but not limited too: Wireless internet, T1 connections, etc. Although power has been restored many locations, central nodes feeding those areas have still been impacted. Crews are actively looking into these issues.
