Impulse Internet Services Completes Integration

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - Impulse Internet Services, LLC has announced the completion of its business integration, resulting in the creation of the largest locally managed and owned Voice-over-Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Internet services company on California's Central Coast.

"We're servicing one of the largest small to mid-size business economies in the world," said Impulse CEO Tony Papa. "We've made telephone and Internet service easy for businesses, and we're doing it with a local service organization, local management and the most impressive IP network on the coast."

In 2006, Impulse Internet Services (IIS) and NetLojix Communications, Inc. (NetLojix) announced a transaction merging NetLojix's Internet and VoIP services subsidiary (including Silicon Beach and WestNet) and IIS into a new entity, Impulse Internet Services, LLC.

Papa said the companies have now been fully integrated and the organization re-structured to provide improved services to small and mid-sized businesses. The restructured company includes a new Customer Implementation Department focused on service activation, a new sales team focused on Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties, and key distribution and partnership agreements.

Impulse owns and manages one of the most advanced IP networks in California and supports an impressive list of businesses and governmental organizations. The network includes multiple gateway interconnections with the public telephone network and three datacenters.

"VoIP is now a driving force for small business in the Tri-County area, enabling access to incredible voice quality and IP communications capabilities," said Papa. "Unlike other service companies that are removed from the local customer, we can activate a new business office within hours and deliver the best technology supported by multiple gateways and backed up by a dozen wireless transmission sites."

In addition to its telephone and Internet services, the company sells a wide variety of the latest business telephone applications and network equipment. Through technology partner Polycom, for example, Impulse is delivering the world's first VoIP desktop phone featuring high definition voice technology. The service is provided through Impulse's ClearStarSM hosted VoIP service.

Papa said the company's plans for the future include steady growth along the Central Coast, both organically and through acquisition.
